As a professional translator, I often write about the quirky and nuanced aspects of language and translation, with specific reference to Spain and Spanish.

I set up the publication Iberospherical as a platform to share stories about the language, culture and history of Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking lands on both sides of the Atlantic.

Aside from those topics, I also write occasionally about music and popular culture, politics and social justice, and environmental matters, along with forays into poetry, satire and fiction.

Some of those areas are covered by specific lists available to browse via my profile page, including a selection of 'Boosted' stories that have been highlighted by Medium for enhanced distribution.

I hope you find something in among all that lot to interest you, and always welcome comments on any of my stories that strike a chord with readers.

For what it's worth, I am usually listed in Medium's dynamically (and erratically!) updated Top 5 or Top 20 'Writers to follow' for the topics 'Spain', 'Language' and 'Culture', which gives an idea of the subjects of my most widely read output.
