AI is a big problem, and I don't think they are capable of dealing with it. The articles themselves, clogging up the distribution pipes are bad. And I think that most readers are unable to spot them, because they have very poor standards anyway. An AI how-to/slef-help listicle is fine for them.

We will get bored of reporting users - I'm already near breaking point - and they are incapable of autmoating it.

But another problem is that it undermines the community side that is a positive on Medium. We miss genuine comments in a deluge of bot stuff, and the conversation goes dead.
