Another point worth making about Boosts is that their poor earnings performance since early Jan proves that Tony is lying out of his arse when he says 'earnings are the same - it's just that you scummy echo chamber losers only get read by each other and we've nixed payouts for that'.

Because Boosted pieces by definition go almost exclusively to people who otherwise would never see or interact with your articles.

So if a Boost gets 400 reads, say, you can guarantee 350-odd are people entirely outside your circle of Medium 'acquaintances'.

So if the earnings formula remained unchanged - as claimed - the earnings for a Boost would be the same. Rather than about a tenth. Even if the Boost earnings multiplier (which was around x3, x4, I think) had been reduced to nothing, Boosts in 2025 would still be earning less than regular unboosted pieces in 2024, despite almost all the readers being 'new-to-you' members.

Why do they tell such obvious lies? Do they think we're stupid?
