Classic British understatement there, John! It is a real shame. I honestly can't understand the amount of 'Oh, isn't Musk awful - but I still use Twitter' going on.

I think that Medium themselves should do more to promote the me.dm server as it should work brilliantly as a genuine social media adjunct to the writing platform, but can't until it gets enough traction.

If it were more effectively integrated, with a higher proportion of users active on both channels, thereby creating interactions and synergies, I think Medium would really benefit in terms of user numbers and engagement.

Maybe now that Friend has launched, they will dedicate some thought and effort to it next year.
