Here in Spain, state schools have no uniform. So anyone setting up a church or private non-denominational school has to decide if they want to make a uniform an individual rule of their establishment.

My opinion is firm, and brooks no exception: if when establishing a school, you make the choice that 'forcing all students to wear the same attire' is part of your philosophy of teaching, you have already debarred yourself from consideration as being worthy of having the next generation in your care.

'Education' that prides itself on eliminating individuality can never be properly delivered or intended.

This is a hill I am prepared to die on. Not literally, I hope. But if necessary. A uniformed world is not worth living in anyway.

As Einstein said:

He who joyfully marches to music rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would surely suffice.
