Hi, Susan. It's been a while since we last 'spoke' over at MuddyUm, as I've pretty much stopped writing humour. But I do have a couple of articles in mind about my time in the earlyish days of the web at what was still called a 'new media' agency, building and running websites with an amazing little group of coders, graphic designers and writers.
The focus would be on both the hugely productive combination of programming, writing and designing skills within a small team, the absence of barriers between specialisations and the crossover of interests and ideas, and also the way in which the idealism, enthusiasm and excitement of those days has, in Doctorow's sadly ubiquitous phrase, been enshittified by corporations in the past decade.
If that sounds like it would be of relevance to this new addition to your brood (on which, congratulations!), please do add me as a writer. I will be taking things fairly easy here on medium for a while, but could probably write one of the 2 or 3 pieces I have in mind over the course of January.
Thanks, and Happy New Year!
