His speciality. I remember him being referred to in an article about the more frantic pace of modern football and the 'pressing' style as 'the last of the foot-on-the-ball, head-up, midfield playmakers' calmly distributing at leisure, rather than everything being first-touch.

I guess that style lived on a little longer in Italy. In England it never really existed, except on very muddy days before underpitch drainage.
