I appreciate your openmindedness, tolerance and patience, Allison. But I must say I struggle, specifically in the political sphere, to see how there can be any 'lived experience' justification for supporting, by vote, word or deed, those who are self-professed bigots and proven liars and hypocrites.

There are moral lines that cannot be crossed, decisions that people consciously take in full possession of the facts, that to my mind debar them from civilised society.

Such individuals are by definition either actively evil, or so wilfully blind and ignorant that I cannot see any justification for, nor benefit to be derived from, engaging them in even the most basic conversation.
