I do regular translations for a tuna company, which involves online searches for specific tuna fishing and cooking terminology.

'Aha!' says Chromebot. 'This guy sure loves him some tuna, yes siree!'

So it decides to serve me up on the 'articles of interest to YOU!' screen of my phone an article about a court case involving a tuna-fishing company accused of falsifying traceability data and basically plundering the Atlantic, paying dodgy sea captains in bundles of used notes for their illicit catch.

Turns out to be the same firm I've been doing the translations for.

It felt kind of weird that its cack-handed 2+2=5 actually turned out to be right on the money - it was relevant to me in a way it couldn't possibly have imagined.

Or could it?

The fishy ghost in the machine...
