I do wonder what the inhouse curation team do, to be honest. Stuff that even a moderately literate schoolkid would spot as being crap gets through, then sometimes reversed when flagged up by users - like that's our job! Decent stuff gets rejected, so they clearly do (sometimes) read the nommers' proposals. Though I've had pieces approved so fast, late at night, that in some cases it seems highly unlikely that any vetting has taken place.
Is it a monkey with a dartboard, perhaps?
Thanks for the mention, by the way, Carlo.
Grumpiness is all we have left.
I think I may start a new pub - Fuck Books - Grumpiness Is Our Superpower.
I wonder if they'd choose me as a nommer.
