I once had a plan to do just that in Spain - get a campervan and travel the country from village fiesta to village fiesta, writing a travel book. Harder in the winter, but once spring comes around then certainly every weekend, if not every day.

After all, that what the feriantes that run the funfairs do - follow the endless festive calendar.
