I started calling it Jeepers, and asked it if it had any 'idea' why I'd chosen that name.

It didn't. No realisation that 'GP' sounds like 'jeepie'. Which was interesting in the way it reflected the fact that it builds with words, but is unaware of how they sound to us, and hence how they feel in our mouths, our ears and our minds or hearts. Which is how pet names work.
