I still always hear this in the pastiche words of some student comedians I saw at university in the UK, who did a version 'We Write the Sun', which started 'Here in Wapping, we write your favourite family paper...', and went on to satirise the dubious journalistic practices and political stance of Murdoch's hideous British tabloid paper, which partly served as his springboard to contaminate the media scene more globally.
