I was briefly mistaken for Simon Le Bon, once. He was supposed to be opening a new store (record? fashion? dunno) in the town where I was at university. There was a big crowd awaiting his arrival - mainly students, since real people had more important things to do - and I happened to pass by on the opposite side of the street. One of my friends who was in the crowd called out and waved, which immediately triggered 'Le Bon-mania' among the rest of them, who assumed the star had just been spotted.

Their imminent disappointment was only heightened by a sense of embarrassment at their mistake.

I'm lucky I wasn't lynched for not being Simon Le Bon.
