I was pleasantly surprised, having written Vocal off as a waste of time. That said, I find that any post here will these days - save the odd $1 exception - rack up around a fiver.

I've done fine with boosts so far, but (a) am running out of steam, and (b) am beginning to resent, or simply get bored of, writing to the 'boostable' formula. And it clearly doesn't usefully cover fiction, which is a shame, as I was getting into that, and my fiction muscle is now atrophying for want of exercise.

I should probably step things up and start submitting to specific fiction magazines. But I want to get more 'practice in public' under my belt first, and would far rather have everything channelled through one platform, rather than individual submissions to commissioning editors. which I really don't have time for.

We shall see.
