I'd agree with all of this, Tony. I appreciate that AI and simply the massive influx of inauthentic users resulting from the MPP expansion are a genuine challenge that take skill and time to address effectively.

But there do seem to be so very many easy wins in development terms that would make writers above all happier with the platform.

The fact that it took well over a year for Boost submissions to be integrated into the platform's interface rather than using a Google Form speaks volumes.

You would know far better than I, but wouldn't that kind of functionality be the sort of thing a software engineer would be expected to be able to knock out in an afternoon as part of a recruitment process?

Some people - the Stockholm Kool-Aid drinkers - were jubilant (and obsequious) in their reactions.

I just thought: "Shit. Is this really the best you can do? The height of your ambitions?".
