I'm not sure appealing to their better nature will get far, but when blocking new followers whose profiles seem to be full of AI posts, I am now reporting them for breach of rules. I have no way of knowing if they are in the MPP, of course, but Medium do, and it's their job to check whether they have been contravening the T&Cs.
