In my transatlantic ignorance, I'm intrigued as to what a bear claw might be. I am choosing not to google it, but instead to stick with my mental image of an actual claw of an actual bear, which has been glazed in molasses and slowly broiled over hickory wood embers, to create an exquisitely sweet, smoky, if somewhat spiky and hairy, delicacy.

If this is not in fact the case, please do not disabuse me of my fantasy.
