Interesting question, Shaler. It was just meant to sound vaguely druidic - I wanted the Old Ways to feel rooted in the natural world, rather than a church or temple-based religion.

'Temple' was my first thought, imagining a Buddhist monastery setting. But I felt it could easily suggest a more rigidly monotheistic concept, so went for 'grove', for a more Ent-like vibe.

I played tabletop D&D as a teen, and have occasionally dabbled in online RPGs in the past - and do always find myself drawn to druidic/shamanic roles.
