It's on the radar. As with anything else, you end up studying a lot you're not interested in before you can get a job in a field of relevance to you. At least he would be helping the natural world, at least if working in efficient irrigation and organic pest control. He'd been thinking more about working with animals, but right now this looks like a good prospect. It's not all about career, career, career, of course, by any means. But it's pretty dispiriting to study for 4 years and not have a job at the end of it. No debt here in Spain as higher education is pretty cheap, but you still have to make a living. I do translations for companies that design systems for government agencies in Africa and Asia to improve the efficiency of their agri sectors, which seems like a pretty positive thing to be doing. I'm probably too old a dog to teach myself new tricks, but you never know. Clapham and Sons - International Irrigation Engineers!
