I've been doing some pruning of follows of late - but it takes time for it to feed through to the feed, so to speak, it would seem.

And it's tedious, and I think I ended up unfollowing some I shouldn't have, and vice versa.

This seriously is not something we should need to do manually in this day and age to get a viable response from an online content platform.

Is it?

I've made some of these points about the algorithm in a comment to Ariel in her post today about the Boost programme. She's usually quite good at responding, thought to be fair, this is outside her remit.
