I've mostly gone to no booze Monday to Thursday for the past couple of months, to help keep blood pressure down, and generally give my liver and whatever else a break. I've been similarly disappointed with how I feel in the morning - absolutely no better than if I'd had 2 or 3 beers, as I would otherwise have done. Maybe slightly higher energy levels by afternoon, rather than flagging. But nothing I'd maintain the change in lifestyle for in itself.
