Judging by how few reads my short stories have received, I don't think it's just you, Roz! Maybe they were just awful. But I think Fiction and Medium are an uncomfortable fit. I've given up posting short stories here - I think it's very hard to get a handle from the tags and title whether it would be at all relevant to your tastes, and this isn't a place where you want to buy into a piece that after 2-3 minutes reading leaves you with absolutely nothing if you decide to ditch it. With a factual or opinion piece that proves not to your liking, you at least tend to walk away with some useful info, even if only about other people's perceptions of the world.

An unfinished short story feels like completely wasted time with zero reward.

I don't read fiction here either, or very seldom. So I can hardly complain when other people don't read mine.
