I find my phone fine for fairly close-up stuff in a narrow depth of field, but the digital zoom is worse than useless, and it's hard to get the focus right when subjects are stacked behind one another. Though as I say, you can just take that limitation as an opportunity, like a specific writing prompt topic or wordcount. I'm enjoying the photo+poem combo - I hope to venture into Benidorm soon to get some skyscraper+sky shots. But without a zoom, I'm not sure I dare get too close to the wildlife at The Red Lion! The size of their beer bellies, I probably couldn't get too close...
