Kenny is the only one of these whose work I know. He's a great example of a 'proper' writer (as with Mike Grindle) who actually researches, structures and polishes his pieces to professional magazine standard, rather than just pounding away at the keyboard in one sitting, making a couple of minor edits, then hitting publish/submit like I do.
But that takes dedication - and confidence that the end result will actually attract views. For me this is just a bit of fun (as much as gouging out your own eyeballs with a plastic teaspoon can be considered 'fun').
It's all a bit chicken and egg - how do you get the follower (and above all subscriber) count to 'guarantee' organic views for every piece, without polishing all your work? But how can you afford (in mental/psychological resource and time terms) to spend that long on each article, if it might (probably will) just slip completely under the algo's and everyone's radar?
