Lovely. I wrote a travelogue many years ago entitled 'Walking the Lion - Across Spain in the Footsteps of Laurie Lee' (I didn't walk the whole way, but as much as seemed feasible). Got a couple of polite rejection letters from agents and let the whole thing slide.

I saw a great adaptation of Cider with Rosie at the Chester Gateway Theatre (now defunct, it would seem) which got me into his work. I suppose As I Walked Out played some part in sowing the romantic seed of Spain in my mind.

I should probably dig out, dust off and edit that travelogue and self-publish, although I think it has quite a lot of contemporary references that would need removing/updating.

We shall see.
