OK, so I created a Vocal account on the strength of this write-up, Maryan.

I figure that as all my fiction and poetry has died a death here, I may as well gradually paste it over to another platform. The interface feels quite familiar, and the approval took a couple of hours for the first one, then practically instant for the second.

Let's see if they get any views on the other side of the fence. I can't see myself investing community-building time over there for now, but who knows? If I find there is a readership for my fiction (and maybe poetry, which is a mug's game here as well), I may have to Jekyll and Hyde myself between the two sites.
