One major question they haven't addressed - and even when they do, will be unable satisfactorily to resolve - is 'what is a meta story'?

If I write a piece about 'writing articles online - how to attract readers and build engagement', is that meta? Even if I don't mention Medium by name, but just talk generically?

If I write an allegorical story (which I and many others have done in the past) which is quite clearly about Medium but doesn't mention it by name, is that meta?

If I write a piece comparing online platforms, that mentions Medium but is in fact about the broader 21st-century media landscape, is that meta?

If I write about writing, with just a brief reference to online articles, is that meta?

Have they thought this through? Will they be relying on (unreliable) topic tags?

Will they be using crude keyword filters?

If I write about how much I like medium rare steak, or when I visited a medium for a seance, or calculating the different types of medium in data science, will that be meanly flagged up?

Do they know what they are doing?

Answers on a medium-sized postcard, please!
