Oops! They Broke the Alerts Again?

A tentative canary released into the coal mine of Medium in search of the oxygen of interaction

As René Magritte might have written, had he been lucky enough to live in the era of the refined and flawless technology of Medium, ceci n’est pas un article.

More a cris de coeur.

It seems to me, at 10:30 a.m. UTC+2, i.e. mid-morning on Monday 3 June in Europe, that they’ve gone and bust the alerts system again.

I’ve been getting the same trickle as in last week’s shenanigans, with the odd alert floating in 6 or 7 hours late, and new comments completely missing from my radar screen.

Is anyone else having the same issue today? Comment once for ‘yes’, twice for ‘no’. Can you see this article? Or just intuit it via the ether? Did you get a subscriber alert? Did it appear in your feed?

Any feedback would be gratefully received. I’ve tried commenting on other people’s posts to ask the same question, but for obvious reasons, it would seem, no one has replied.

Hello! Is there anybody out there?

Update at 12:11 UTC+2

A sudden spurt of alerts from 3–4 hours ago. But they don’t include some comments that I know were made in the same timeframe, so there is still a time and volume backlog in the system, it would seem.
