Or worse, companies buy whole fleets of PHEVs for their staff, get the tax breaks and are fed into the national self-congratulatory figures. And the drivers then never plug them in and just run them as ICE vehicles, while lugging around an extra 200 kilos of dead weight in the form of the battery and electric motor, making them less fuel-efficient, aside from all the energy and conflict minerals that went into manufacturing them.
