Thanks for the feedback, Kenny. It's a tricky one, isn't it? Trying to keep oneself down to a compact article length, aware that we are all competing for the limited free time of our audience, while wanting to express our ideas fully.

I also think that the way Medium measures 'reads' is really wonky. I've had people read an article, leave 3 comments, more or less top, middle and bottom, and it still hasn't registered as being 'read'.

Anyway, it's early days for me - I'm still trying to work out which formats, publications and topics suit me best, but suspect I will end up settling into a little bit of everything.
