Thanks for the mention, Harris. This story seems to have prompted quite a bit of thought from readers. We're used to thinking 'oh, that's just how they do things in [insert less punctuality-obsessed culture]', and either getting used to it, or being infuriated by it. But we don't often think of the reasons why those cultures might act that way, or how all those different uses of time might balance out in the end.

I am still very much just a work in progress in achieving this state of enlightenment, after two decades in Spain!
