Thanks. I'd love to - the thing is I'm really not at all knowledgeable about music (especially after the 90s...). It's never been a real passion as such, and I haven't tended to listen much beyond particular favourite bands, to give me broader reference points.

In terms of a personal response to music, then yeah, I might have some ideas.

I was actually thinking back to a summer I spent working in Germany, and a club (more a bar with a small dancefloor) I discovered, playing the same kind of music I liked, and some new discoveries too, and the way that provided me with a way into a new town, a means of connection with strangers. I might write something about that soon.

I discovered the other week that Echo & the Bunnymen will be playing about 2 hours from where I live in a couple of weeks. I fancied going, but don't think it will be possible - if I manage to make it, I'll do a write-up of the experience.
