I plan to turn it into a short story later this week if I have time.

I like the idea of upcycling a comment into an essay into a piece of fiction, and it would fit in with what is becoming the core of my planned Between Folly and Hubris collection of climate change/AI-themed pre-apocalyptic short fiction.
