Thanks, Kay. Trieste is definitely worth a visit. If the funicular tram is working (I think it might be under repairs again now), that should be included as an outing as well. There's also Duino Castle, where Rilke wrote his elegies, as well as the legacy of Joyce and Italo Svevo. A very literary city!

I'd love to visit Istanbul again, but wouldn't return to Turkey under the current regime.
