Thanks, Natasha. Aside from the dubious remuneration model, I actually quite like it - but not enough to pay extra to allow simultaneous devices to connect to my account.
Two things that bug me are that the 'would you like more suggestions based on your tastes feature' constantly offers different versions of the same song (7", 12", remastered, radio edit...), which just seems like sloppy coding and can end up with you accidentally adding several versions of a song to a list without realising you already had it.
And the utterly cringeworthy self-hype about 'unwrapped', desperately trying to convince users and media (+influencers - aarrgh!) that it is an intrinsic part of our culture, like Santa Claus and 4th of July fireworks. It's not - it's just a music app.
The photo I picked out for this piece does make me feel a little nostalgic for lovingly assembled mix tapes and double-album C90s pirated off classmates, though.
