Thanks, Nichola. I had the idea when I was told by my doctor that my blood pressure was high, and I should monitor it for a week. According to the numbers the machine we had at home produced, I needed to take antihypertensives every day until it settled down.

And it struck me how open to abuse that was, especially with the move to wearables to monitor data in situ, rather than going in to a hospital. Cheaper on resources, yes. But how reliable is it? And if the same company makes the monitor as sells the drugs that it is used to prescribe... It's probably already happening, in fact. Tinfoil hat time!
