That's a pretty big ask... Though China's leadership are nothing if not self-servingly pragmatic. For the moment presumably they see Russia as a useful pariah supplier of discounted commodities, increasingly ensconced within their sphere of influence (while Russia deludedly believes the boot to be on the other foot).

But presumably there is also a degree beyond which Russia cannot be allowed to cripple itself without becoming an unpredictable liability to China as well.
