The Medium Stalker

A silly poem about claps from the shadows

I clap for your comments,
I highlight your highlights,
And if I could then you should
Know that I would also
Comment your highlights and
Clap for your follows and
Follow your clappers
And highlight your kickers
And get all your knickers
In more of a twist
Than they already are.

Your hair is in knots,
You hair’s full of nits,
And I am the knotty and nitty
Night stalker who
Knotted and knitted it,
Clapped and ran off with it,
Ding-donged your bell
As you stumbled downstairs.

You have fifty alerts,
But there’s just one of me.
I lurk in the shadows,
So hard to see,
Here under my bridge
With my trusty highlighter
That flashes in neon –
But while you’re asleep.
And when you wake up,
You will find that my visit
Has left you with nowt
But a dose of the clap.
