The whole boost thing, it seems to me, is a concept that could sound great in a brainstorming meeting. It could even work great in practice.

But those two moments have to be bridged by a competent development and management team who see every aspect of the programme with complete clarity, have the analytical and psychological skills to see all the things that might go wrong, the surefootedness, oversight and responsiveness to detect any they might not have thought of, and the organisational capabilities and programming resources to resolve those issues as soon as they emerge.

As well as the communication skills to keep their userbase informed about the process.

I don't know about you, May, but I'm not seeing too much of a match between those criteria and the real-world evidence presented Medium management over the past 3 months.
