There are a few Indian places round my way - because of the British tourists, though not all in excessively touristy places. I've never tried any, to be honest. But your and Ellen's troubles have prompted me to start writing an article about great vegetarian and vegan tapas and other dishes in Spain. I'll maybe get it done for next week - watch this space. We will be starting with fried aubergines drizzled with golden sugarcane syrup (https://www.pequerecetas.com/receta/berenjenas-fritas-con-miel/). Followed by some Cabrales blue cheese croquettes. Then maybe pimientos de Padrón, baby peppers blistered in hot oil and sprinkled with coarse sea salt...
