There was an article the other day suggesting that one element required in any peace deal with Russia would be a Marshall Plan of some kind, to ensure that both Russia's leadership and people get to feel that they have not been left entirely destitute, and so avoid the pursuit of a destructive revenge obsession in the coming years.

It would be hard (impossible?) to stomach unless Putin is removed (even if into exile in a luxury compound in China, South Africa or a Gulf state), which is the difficult part, I suppose.
