There's another crossover sub-branch I came across a while back, of astro-archaeology. Their job is to work out which constellations would have been where when star-aligned sites were actually built.

Kind of like the 'they're digging in the wrong place!' bit in Lost Ark. For years these archaeologists were stroking their beards, puffing on their pipes and saying stuff like 'Of course we clearly see here that this hunter gatherer people naturally revered the hunting god Orion, whose constellation is perfectly aligned with the capstone of this megalithic circle', when in fact Orion was right the other side of the firmament 4000 years ago, and they were actually pointing at the crab nebula or something.
