This could have been tried as an initial solution. Though the limit would have to have been set so high - 1 per day would be the minimum viable for the platform to work as a $5/month WYSIWYG blogging platform, which is another of its functions, besides being an 'online user-generated artisanal magazine'.

And I don't think that would be effective enough. The worst offenders seem to post 2-4 spewed articles per day. I think volume needed to be cut by more than that factor.
