This is a good point, Charline. Not intervening to correct bad behaviour can have a naggingly annoying impact on our own peace of mind, but also makes us feel guilty about not doing our bit to educate others and make the world a better place.

But the fear of confrontation in the moment - and even the potential for violent consequences - tend to push us into letting it slide.
