This is it in a nutshell. If you write for a non-boosting pub, you're essentially just doing it for the lols and the craic.

If you would like to stick your story coin in the slot machine and maybe get 10-15 bucks back, or a tiny chance of 100 or more, but quite likely the same 37 cents you would get from publishing in your favourite 'community' pubs, you have to go for a boost-enabled illuminatus.

Once there are 1000 boosting pubs, then The Pub, Dr Funny, Pitfall, etc. would be expected to be in that number (when the boosts go marchin' in).

But by then, their relationship with their writers will have been somewhat eroded by the head start that the Chosen Ones got.
