This is the worry - though the fact that it is no longer a surprise is perhaps the even bigger worry.

Either they didn't mean what they said about not having a clue what's going on within their own systems, in which case the people running a writing and ideas communication platform don't know how to write or communicate ideas. Or they really don't have a clue.

Then we have the mixed messaging from 3 senior figures:

Tony: "We have no money so we can't pay writers."

Brittany: "We never said we wouldn't pay writers."

Scott: "We aren't paying writers because... reasons we don't understand."

Thanks for the clarification, guys!

Of course this steaming bullshit is more than enough to keep the Panglossian Kool-Aid cheerleaders happy. I wonder if any of them will show up in the comments here. Maybe they're all still stuck in Stockholm. I have my bingo card ready just in case.
