This is the worst thing about Substack - the waiting before you can pester your precious subscribers again, without scaring them off.

I've been firing off medium-length Notes, but they tend to disappear faster than they would into the Medium memoryhole. Which is saying something.

Self-pubbing bits and pieces here on Medium to scratch an itch will be my approach - also a way of gauging how many people are still active here. Sending canaries down the coalmine.

After all, we can abuse our Medium subscribers as much as we like with daily emails, right?

My last two hilarious works of bitesize satire garnered a dozen reads each. Worth it? Almost certainly not.
