This place looks wonderfully romantic, and seems to have some interesting history too, having belonged to the family of the pioneering proto-feminist writer Emilia Pardo Bazán, as did the much-disputed Pazo de Meiras, which was Franco's summer residence and was recently reclaimed from the dictator's descendants by the State via the courts.

This castle - the family had several, it would seem - apparently ended up as a summer camp for Civil War orphans.

There could be a future story in there, RC...
