This sounds great. It essentially seems to be in line with my wish for a 'mini-boost' functionality, that would allow good content to prosper and not be drowned out by the slop (AI or just poorly written and conceived) that the distribution system has to try to filter and direct - something which I feel is done poorly at present.

Giving editors the ability to promote particular stories, directly and without the unpredictable filter of curation, relying on the editor's instinct and feel for the readers and writers that have an affinity with their publications sounds very good to me.

In theory - the proof of the pudding is in the practice, but this certainly seems like a well-intended and well-directed venture.

I am happy. And I have been extremely grumbly about all sorts of things on the platform lately, so that's a note or two of pleasing mood music to begin with.
